All ProChoice dust masks meet AS/NZS
1716: Lic 1508 requirements.

Dust
Is comprised of solid particles that can range in size, including those that can not be seen with the naked eye. Dusts usually occur when a solid material is broken down eg: cutting, sanding, grinding.

Mist
Consist of tiny droplets of moisture

formed when liquids are sprayed or mixed eg: spray painting, dipping. In high concentration of mists, this can turn into fog and obscure vision.

Fumes
Are tiny metallic or metal oxide particles given off when metals are heated. Fine particulates are formed as the fume cools and condenses eg: welding, smelting.

Gases
Are substances that become airborne at room temperature and are often invisible eg: Chlorine, Hydrogen sulfi de, Carbon monoxide.

Vapours
Act like gases except they are formed by the evaporation from substances which are normally liquid or solid at room temperature eg: Methylated spirits, petrol.
